1. Purpose of the Portal

Whānau Hotaka is designed to:

• Provide bite-sized lessons in foundations, budgeting, and business basics
• Track your learning progress
• Allow you to record reflections for personal growth

2. Eligibility

• You must be 16 years or older to use the portal.
• Users aged 13–15 must have parent, guardian, or whānau support.

3. Your Responsibilities

By using Whānau Hotaka, you agree to:

• Use the portal respectfully and lawfully
• Keep your Google login secure
• Take responsibility for any reflections or content you record

4. Ownership and Privacy

• Your progress and reflections belong to you.
• Kura Cares does not access or share your reflections unless you choose to.
• You are the full owner and guardian of your content.

5. Content Guidelines

To maintain a safe space, you must not:

• Upload or record harmful, abusive, or misleading content
• Share reflections without consent of those involved (if collaborative)
• Pretend to be someone else or misuse another person's voice

6. Account Security

• You are responsible for your Google account security.
• We are not liable for loss caused by unauthorised access to your account.

7. Changes to the Portal

Features may be added, updated, or paused. Where possible, we'll notify users in advance.

8. Limitation of Liability

Kura Cares Charity is not responsible for:

• Data loss caused by user error or third-party platform issues (e.g., Google outages)
• Any loss resulting from downtime or unavailability of the portal

9. Stopping Use

You may stop using the portal at any time. We may suspend access if the portal is misused.

10. Cultural Safety & Respect

This portal is a taonga (treasure) to be used with care. You agree to:

• Honour the dignity of your own learning and whānau values
• Use reflections respectfully, never to cause harm
• Treat learning content as a resource for growth, not conflict
