• Learning Progress: Your module progress (e.g., percentages, completion status) is stored securely to personalise your journey.
• Voice Reflections: If you record reflections, transcripts are generated to support your learning. These are saved to your account and are not shared externally.
• Profile Information: Basic details you provide (e.g., name, email) are used to personalise your experience.

2. How Your Information is Used

All information is used solely to support your learning experience:

• To track your course progress
• To enable reflections and transcripts
• To personalise your dashboard and modules

We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

3. Data Protection

Whānau Hotaka is built with whānau privacy in mind:

• Your Google login protects your account
• Progress data is stored securely and accessible only by you
• Reflections remain private to you unless you choose to share them

4. Third-Party Services

We use:

• Google OAuth for login security
• Harkness AI for powering module delivery and reflections

5. Children's Privacy

• The portal is designed for users aged 16 and older.
• Ages 13–15 may use the portal with whānau guidance.
• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

6. User Control

You are the guardian of your information. You may:

• Delete reflections you have created
• Request account deletion by contacting us
• Clear browser history to reset stored progress

7. Purpose of Reflections

Reflections are a safe space for learning and growth. They are not intended for legal disputes or harmful use. Please use the feature respectfully.
